Today, HR is more important than ever to promote innovation and the digitalization of business by setting up agile organizations, attracting outstanding talent and developing the skills we need tomorrow. When it comes to cultural and organizational innovations, digital and startup companies are setting the bar with their culture of individual agency, openness and intrapreneurship.

The re:boot HR Summit is a new platform for decision makers who seek to rethink the "People" aspect of business. Access is restricted to leaders from SMEs and digital companies. Once founded as the pioneers and inventors of their niches, SMEs ("der Mittelstand") share a common entrepreneurial spirit with today’s startup companies, and they can build upon this heritage and adapt methods from established digital players to innovate their HR functions.

Taking place in the office of a startup renowned for its culture, you will get the chance to explore HR together with speakers from international digital players who will share their experience with you in small workshops. This format will give you the chance to actively participate, raise the issues that matter to your organization and take home not only valuable new contacts and ideas, but highly actionable insights.

Stephan Thoma was until recently Global Director of Google’s Learning & Talent team, where he ensured the learning agenda supported Google’s scale for the future whilst retaining and building its innovative and distinct culture. He now provides strategic advisory to businesses keen to address complex 21st century people and organisational challenges. Originally an Engineer, he has previously held senior learning and talent development roles at NTL, Cisco Systems and GE. He is also now a Visiting Professor at the Centre for the Digital Economy, University of Surrey. At the re:boot HR Summit, Stephan will talk about the future of HR and how new technologies can be used to enhance the learning experience of employees.

Christine von Groote is Director HR at idealo internet GmbH, where she is co-leading the HR team with her colleague Paula Müller. Originally an Industrial Engineer, Christine started her career in a German subsidiary of GDF SUEZ, a major French energy company, where she took over an HR role to build up a Management Trainee Programm, and to become an expert in specialist deployment and running HR as business function. She then moved on to the Hotel Adlon Kempinski, where she focused on Talent Management and Development to ensure the best talents stay in the Kempinski group. At the re:boot HR Summit, Christine will talk about the importance for companies to introduce Dual Leadership Models (Doppelspitze) for improved Succession Management and Talent Development. Dual Leadership Models especially benefit businesses which have to overcome "generational gaps" in their workforce and need young talents to move into leadership positions.

In addition Lewis build data and analytics into hiring tools and decision making processes enabling truly data-driven decision making. In his current role Lewis leads Talent Acquisition for Microsoft Germany and is helping to drive the global transformation. Lewis will talk about "Data Driven Hiring" and how getting the right data into your hiring process can be the make or break of hiring success.

Today, Xenia works at Aarhus University as a consultant and mentor for young startups. She is the founder of SustainablePeople, an organization aimed to support leaders in building trust and understanding people. Xenia is an award-winning leader and facilitator and holds an Executive CBL degree from Henley Business School.

Monica has a unique perspective on HR, given her background in building offices for international agencies. Her previous roles at Razorfish, AKQA and Rocket Internet provided a strong base for her current position as Head of HR at VCCP, where she runs the Berlin office’s HR and training progams. Monica’s passion for understanding people first allows for a truly exceptional employee experience within the VCCP workplace, creating successful programs for overall employee satisfaction. In a time when HR must transform and grow with the advanced cultural needs of a multi-generational employee base, Monica puts the "Human" in "Human Resources". Monica's professional goals of being both a Systemic Coach and Life and Career Coach lend to her ability to support the needs of VCCP. At the re:boot HR Summit, Monica will talk about the importance of employee experience and creating a fantastic workplace.
